Holy Fire: Jason Pyro in the Pocket Across Nine Tracks of Faith Rap

An American Hip-Hop Artist Packs Worship Themes and Heavy Beats Into a 21-Minute Independent Album

Holy Fire opens with BKNY, a 70-second piece named for home, and then goes straight to Yahweh. Jason Pyro, a hip-hop artist born and raised in Brooklyn, United States, released the album on 22 September 2026. Four guests join him: King Chung, KeemFanadic, Young Pyro and Bobbi$upreme. The record sets Christian worship against heavy, modern hip-hop production, and it makes its case in under 21 minutes.

Jason Pyro’s Kiss of Life sits in our Hip-Hop, Rap, Rap Rock, Drill, Grime playlist below, and the full run of coverage is on Jason Pyro’s artist profile. Holy Fire reached this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news titles. Press play on the playlist, then read on for how the album is built.

The Hook of Holy Fire Is a Turn From the Block to the Altar in Two Tracks

Start with the running order, because that is where the album makes its case. BKNY is the shortest track on the record, a quick marker of where the story starts. Then the very next title is a name for God.

So that move is the hook of the whole project. Jason Pyro describes Holy Fire as a bridge between raw street writing and deep faith. The sequence then builds that bridge out of song titles. Prayers Answered comes third, and two more titles about faith follow later.

The earlier catalogue also explains why the turn matters. Fiji On Me, from 2020, was a party record made with Jason Pyro’s brother, Bobbi$upreme, and the producer Buckroll. Holy Fire still keeps that energy, but it points it somewhere else.

What the Titles of Holy Fire Say About Faith, Love and Struggle

First, read the tracklist as a set of statements. Yahweh, Prayers Answered, God Inside and Protection carry the worship. 2Fly and Queen keep the confidence of the street records, and IRA is the one title that gives nothing away. Faith, struggle and devotion are the themes Jason Pyro names for the project. So the titles spread them across the nine tracks.

Meanwhile, Kiss of Life is the clearest example of the blend. Jason Pyro describes it as a soulful record that mixes hip-hop with R&B around love, restoration and faith. It came out first as a single, with a video shot by Bobbi$upreme and edited by Jason Pyro. That single was also part of a run of releases leading into the album.

The features, too, keep the record from becoming a monologue. King Chung joins on Prayers Answered, Young Pyro shares Kiss of Life, and KeemFanadic appears on 2Fly. Bobbi$upreme then joins KeemFanadic on God Inside, which makes it the album’s most crowded track, with three artists.

Nine Short Tracks and a Family Crew Shape How Holy Fire Is Built

Next, the structure is lean. Nine tracks run for 20 minutes and 49 seconds, and only God Inside passes two minutes and 50 seconds. Most songs land between two and three minutes, so each one makes a single point and moves on. That pace suits an album built to be played straight through, because nothing outstays its welcome.

Jason Pyro wrote and produced Holy Fire independently. That independence covers the sequencing too. The album opens at home, moves into worship and closes on Queen, with the features placed in the middle stretch where the record is busiest.

Kanye West, Chance the Rapper and the Short Faith-Rap Album

Short, faith-first rap albums have a recent history. Kanye West released Jesus Is King in 2019, an 11-track record of about 27 minutes. It then won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the Grammys in 2021. Holy Fire is shorter still.

Chance the Rapper made the independent case three years earlier. Coloring Book, built on gospel influences, won Best Rap Album at the Grammys in 2017. It was also the first streaming-only album to win a Grammy. Jason Pyro works on a far smaller scale, but the model is the same: no label, a clear message and a crew of collaborators.

Who Holy Fire by Jason Pyro Is For

Holy Fire is for listeners of Christian hip-hop, gospel rap and independent urban music, from the United States to the Philippines, Brazil and Japan. It also suits curators building faith-based playlists who want tracks that still hit like street records.

Start at BKNY and let the album make the turn on its own.

From the RapStar.News curator team: “We placed Kiss of Life in our playlist as the way into the album. At two minutes and 38 seconds it is short enough to try on a first listen, and it leads straight back to the other eight tracks.”
