10 New Hip-Hop Songs That Everyone In The Game Should Know About

Will Lisil 16 September 2022

This top 10 list will help you discover a selection of new rap songs from established and up-and-coming artists. Rap music is a huge part of western culture and gets passed down from generation to generation – just like any top music genre.

Here we go! Since countries like the US, UK, and Europe generally is home to hundreds of different hip-hop artists, you’ll also find a variety of hip-hop subgenres in this list.

If you’re a hip-hop fan, you already know that discovering new artists is one of everyone’s favourite pastimes. But how many people actually listen to rap music released by independent artists today?

My guess is that there are many, and the number is growing rapidly. In the coming days, PopHits.Co will release a huge number of new music, and choosing between them will be difficult because they are all amazing. In addition, they need to be paid more attention because they still deserve more from us.

Therefore, we would like to present you with a playlist containing ten rap songs that every rap fan should be aware of if they are in the game. You can listen to our full playlist which contains the artists’ music, and know more about the artists by scrolling down the page.

1) TRADY – October 17th

The UK hip-hop scene is growing at an incredible rate and it’s a pleasure to be able to keep you up-to-date on the latest and greatest artists.

This week, I would like to introduce you to TRADY, a rapper from Billingham, England. TRADY is part of the UK indie rap scene, which has been growing by leaps and bounds recently thanks to artists that are getting into the mainstream but not forgetting their roots.

TRADY released his debut album “October 17th” months ago after releasing several singles in recent years. The album features 13 tracks that showcase his unique style as well as his political views on society. No Mercy is our favourite but you have many others to explore.

While there are many talented rappers in the UK indie scene right now, TRADY stands out by combining catchy beats with thoughtful lyrics that tackle everything from racism to consumerism.

If you’re interested in checking out some great new music from an up-and-coming artist, check out TRADY, visit his YouTube channel and follow him on Spotify!

2) OAKLEY GRENELL – Payroll

When it comes to hip-hop, I’m a very particular listener. I tend to gravitate toward artists who can rap well and spit bars that are both clever and thought-provoking. So when I heard Payroll by OAKLEY GRENELL, I was instantly intrigued.

I’d never heard of OAKLEY GRENELL before this song, but I’m now a fan! Payroll is an anthem that has the potential to be played at clubs all over the world. It could be a soundtrack for a famous videogame too, the gaming industry is losing an opportunity here.

It’s got a commercial pop vibe but with electronic effects and a banger beat that make it stand out from other mainstream artists on the radio and indie scene. The lyrics are also great, it has some protest style but it’s hard not to feel involved in his words!

If you’re looking for some new music to add to your playlist, check out Payroll by OAKLEY GRENELL, visit his website and follow him on Spotify.

3) DIOM – I Got The Juice

Hip-Hop music is a genre that is always evolving, and it’s no surprise that the artists who make it are constantly changing as well. I discovered a new artist recently named DIOM, and I was blown away by his sound.

DIOM’s single “I Got The Juice” is super edgy, hip-hop-inspired trap music that has elements of afrobeat and rap. It’s a catchy tune with an infectious beat and one of the most unique sounds I’ve heard in a long time.

The first thing that caught my attention was DIOM’s voice. He has an incredible range that he uses to really show off what he can do as an artist. His vocals are super powerful, but they’re also expressive—you can tell he loves what he’s singing about!

The next thing I noticed about DIOM is how much passion he has for music; like me, he seems to get excited about making new sounds and learning new things about himself as an artist every day.

Often, he expresses how much he enjoys the process of discovering new ways to create music and how surprising it can be when you achieve it—and it shows in everything from his lyrics to his performances on stage and his portfolio on music streaming services

I feel like this is a track I would listen to when going for a run or working out on my own time—it makes me feel good and the beat inspires me to get things done! You can check out DIOM, visit his Twitter and follow him on Spotify.

4) LW6 – Scene

LW6 is a hip-hop artist from Ireland who has been making music for some years and developed his own signature. He’s known for his drill-style beats and aggressive lyrics that are about his life experience and society’s imperfections.

His latest single “Scene” is a perfect showcase of what LW6 is all about: fast-paced beats, hard-hitting lyrics, and an overall mood of anger and motivation at the same time. There is also Ra-Ta-Ta on his portfolio that’s actually funny, but let’s focus on Scene now.

The song opens with some ambient noise that sounds like it was recorded in an abandoned warehouse—there’s an almost eerie quality to it that sets the tone for the rest of the song. Next, the beat is something to listen to and enjoy the effect it has on our bodies, as you will start waving your head immediately.

The chorus features backing vocals by another rapper named, it’s a partnership with CP6’s, and this one worked very well—he has a deep voice that contrasts nicely with LW6’s high-pitched one.

Some listeners might find these two rappers’ voices too similar sounding together on this track; however, I think they work well together here because they complement each other well by creating contrasting moods within their verses.

If you’re looking for something new and drill-influenced, check out this song by LW6, visit his YouTube channel and follow him on Spotify. We’re sure you’ll love it!

5) ARROW SANTI – The Ca$h Tape

After a few years of listening to the same artists over and over again, I finally decided it was time to branch out and explore some new music. And I’m so glad that I did, you should too!

I found a new artist named Arrow Santi with his album, The Ca$h Tape. It’s an amazing album with some really dope beats, catchy lyrics, and even an emo rap track. It’s basically like trap chaos, in a positive way!

The album is 12 tracks long and they’re all named using money symbols. It starts off with “Tree$h Ho” which has an electronic beat and mumbles throughout the song like in many other hip-hop tracks today.

Then it moves onto “Guapane$e”, our favourite, which has more of a trap feel with a heavier beat that can really get me moving on the dance floor, it complements the voice effects by whispering some words on repeat.

There are also some slower tracks, which have a more laid-back feel but still have great lyrics about relationships or finding it, depending on how you look at it.

But then there’s also “Mo$h Pit” which has this crazy bass drop at the end of each line that just makes me want to get up on stage and perform alongside this guy! If you are looking for a trap-style full album, make sure you check Arrow Santi’s portfolio, visit his YouTube channel and follow him on Spotify.

6) PROKLAIM – Fantasy

PROKLAIM‘s single “Fantasy” is one of the most banger-worthy songs I’ve heard this week. It’s a jam that will be stuck in your head for days, and you’ll love every second of it.

The Namibian rapper has a voice like no other, and his lyrics are so strong that they make you want to get up and do something—anything! His flow is super fast but still smooth, confident, and crisp as can be.

His beats are old-school boom bap with modern flair, and when combined with his soulful hooks and rap soul verses—it’s hard not to get lost in this track.

If you’re looking for some new soul-influenced rap music to play at your next party or just want something new to vibe out to on your own time—I highly recommend checking out “Fantasy” by PROKLAIM, visit his YouTube and follow him on Spotify!

7) CONNOR TERRONES – The People We Love

Connor Terrones is a neo-soul artist from Denver, CO. His new album, The People We Love, is a great example of the evolution of hip-hop music in the modern era.

The album combines the best parts of electronica and jazz rap while maintaining a strong focus on soul beats. It’s got groovy tunes that are perfect for relaxing or a special and romantic moment—the kind that you can’t help but bob your head to. If you’re looking for something new to add to your study playlist, this is it!

The People We Love is a soundtrack for those who love hip-hop but also want to relax, unwind and escape into another world. It features some of the most beautiful instrumentals I’ve heard in recent memory—from the relaxing “I Don’t Care” to the upbeat “Drown”—all tied together by Connor’s smooth vocals.

The People We Love has been getting rave reviews since its release earlier this month, and fans are still begging for more. If you want an album that will make you feel good while listening, then this is definitely the one for you! Check it out, visit his TikTok and follow him on Spotify.

8) DR SOUC – The Universal Language

If you’re looking for good guitar-influenced trap music, I’m going to tell you about the EP The Universal Language by DR SOUC.

The Universal Language is an independent hip-hop record from Milford, Massachusetts that takes listeners on a journey through the vibrant and diverse culture of US rap music. He is on the scene for more than 10 years as a producer.

The six-track EP features songs with catchy beats and lyrics that’ll have you singing along in no time. From “Coin Toss”, a song that expresses how hip hop has influenced the global culture, to “Working”, a song that is more electronic and has a tropical feel, this album has something for everyone.

It’s a high quality hip-hop experimental production, a mix of genres and with a good team behind it, the beats are made by K-Swisha, Dr Souc does the lyrics and vocals and Dr Souc’s Father, Tim Soucy plays the guitar. It was mixed and mastered by Grammy nominated music producer Peter Peloquin.

If you’re looking for new tunes to add to your Spotify playlist or just want an awesome new album to play at parties, The Universal Language is definitely worth checking out! You can also visit his YouTube and follow him on Spotify.

9) KELLAN. – Free Girl (Ben Casey Remix)

The music of KELLAN. is a mix of dream pop, electronic, trip-hop, and future house. KELLAN’s single “Free Girl (Ben Casey Remix)” is super catchy, with a vocal dance feel that will have you dancing in your seat.

The vocals are smooth and the beats are irresistible—the perfect combination for any party playlist. The track starts out with a dreamy intro that builds into the powerful chorus. The song has an uplifting vibe that makes you want to dance along as soon as it starts playing.

KELLAN.’s music is perfect for any hip-hop dance setlist because it’s got that classic commercial pop sound everyone loves—but with a more 80s underground hip-hop and disco feel. It reminds of a proper dance battle from old-schol movies, we really loved it.

This song is so good to listen to that you do not resist pressing play again. If you’re looking for something new and unique from one of today’s hottest artists, look no further than KELLAN.! Visit his website and follow him on Spotify.

10) RICK SMOOVE – Hard To Trust

R&B, pop, and trap aren’t usually the first genres that come to mind when one thinks of hip-hop. But if you’re not listening to RICK SMOOVE, you’re missing out on some of the most innovative rap music you’ll hear this month.

The San Antonio, Texas-based rapper has been making waves with his latest single “Hard To Trust,” which features beautiful female backing vocals and a guitar-influenced beat that’s sure to make you want to get up and dance, and include this tune on your playlist.

“Hard To Trust” is just one example of RICK SMOOVE’s unique sound—which producers from PopHits.Co described as “super-enhanced radio-ready hip-hop with an amazing R&B twist”. This description fits well with other tracks like “Boss Up” or “Can’t Get Enough”. This guy knows what he wants and is doing.

If you’re looking for something new and different in rap music then look no further than RICK SMOOVE. Check it out, visit his website and follow him on Spotify.
