Awesome New Rap Songs You Should Be Hearing Right Now

Will Lisil 27 April 2023
Hip Hop Music

If you’re interested in keeping up to date with the top independent hip-hop music trending right now, then here’s a variety of new indie hip-hop songs you need to be listening to

Hip Hop Culture is a massive part of the music scene, and there are so many amazing new artists coming out of the hip-hop scene. I’ve been listening to some of the best indie rap songs from this week’s releases, and I wanted to share some of my favourites with you. These are new songs from established artists as well as fresh up-and-comers.

Dici releasing Daydream

In the same way that his previous melodic hip-hop anthems have grabbed over 2 million Spotify streams across 100 countries, his latest addition to his musical repertoire is also poised to be another chart-topper, following in the footsteps of his previous melodic hip-hop anthems.

Hip-hop music has increasingly been a part of mainstream culture over the past decade, but there’s still a lot of great music out there that you might not hear on the radio. In this article, we’re going to look at some new rap songs that are well worth your time.

I’ve selected some of my favourite tracks from this week’s article on new releases. There are some great artists who have put out great new music over the past few days. I’ve listened to all these songs and made sure that they’re worth checking out!

1) PROKLAIM – Valley

PROKLAIM is a rapper from Namibia, Windhoek. He has just released his latest single “Valley” and it’s one of the best Christian R&B rap songs I’ve heard all year.

Proklaim is a creative and passionate hip-hop artist that does not follow trends but rather is authentic and true to his own vision, and he creates potent messages-driven content that is both inspirational and informative.

It’s got a great mix of rap and gospel vocals, with some EDM elements mixed in for good measure. The result feels like it could be on the radio right now, even though it’s been released independently.

If you’re looking for something new and exciting in your music collection, check out this single by one of Namibia’s most talented rappers! You won’t regret it—and who knows? Maybe he’ll even come to visit your hometown someday soon!

And if you like what you hear, visit Proklaim’s website and follow him on Spotify! Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

2) WOWASHWOW – Pure Imagination

The artist WOWASHWOW is an alternative pop artist from Los Angeles, California.

Her single “Pure Imagination” is a perfect example of her unique style. It’s a mix of EMO rap, rap, US rap and female vocals. Her voice is strong and she uses it to express the dark-pop tone of her music.

WOWashwow is a rising hip-hop artist and a female powerhouse who has a flare for drama, a freestyle fluency that threatens the male-dominated hip-hop scene and one that carries an unbridled bravado through their unapologetic rhyming and no holds barred style.

‘Pure Imagination’ has a fun-loving lyrical sensibility as well as a whimsical melodic quality. In this love letter to every toxic relationship, we explore what it means to be free of self-doubt, rise above hazardous gaslighting, and celebrate that moment when self-worth triumphs over fear and insecurity in a relationship.

I would definitely recommend checking it out as well as visiting their website and following her on Spotify if you like what you hear! Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

3) SARANTOS – I Got NO Money

SARANTOS is a Chicago-based indie-pop artist who has just released his new single, I Got NO Money. The single is alternative pop with hip-hop influences, and it’s quirky and fun.

There are many different genres of music Sarantos is passionate about, including pop, rock, and EDM as well as hip-hop, country, and Christian music. Sarantos does not want to be pigeonholed into one particular type of music.

The song features male vocals, which are delivered in an almost rap-like cadence, but with a pop feel. The sound is reminiscent of 80’s pop music. It has a catchy chorus that will get stuck in your head for days!

Aside from genres, the Chicago-based singer-songwriter and musician has always followed his heart when it comes to making music that is heartfelt, real, and true to himself.

There was a time in Sarantos’ life when he was struggling financially, and as a result, he wrote “I Got NO Money,” released in April 2023, during this time. Check out his website, and follow him on Spotify. Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

4) BREON S.Y.N.D.E.L – Buy Me Some Time

The EP Buy Me Some Time by Brooklyn-based rapper BREON S.Y.N.D.E.L is a testament to the power of autotune and hyper-pop combined with some serious lyrical content and good, old-fashioned hip-hop.

I would describe this as something very authentic, it’s like mixing Bladee and Playboi Carti, it’s very energetic and could probably fit into the Rage Beat genre.

The EP Buy Me Some Time is what happens when Wreck-it-Ralph meets Sonic the Hedgehog, and when a fever dream meets all of that. The EP opens with “EMO RAP,” an EP that exemplifies all the best parts of hyper-pop production.

Based heavily on NASCAR and taking inspiration from your favourite video racing games. There is no denying that it’s loud, it’s in your face, it’s rage, it’s real.

If you want to check out more tracks by this talented artist, visit his Youtube or follow him on Spotify! Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

5) IKONIC TAE – Prom Night

Ikonic Tae‘s “Prom Night”, is an 80’s rock-inspired track that will make you feel like you’re living in the past. It’s got the kind of beat that you can’t help but dance to, and it’s perfect for getting you ready for a night out with your friends!

It is no surprise that he is a huge fan of 80s rock and classic rock and roll since he is an 80s baby who was raised on the sound of 80s rock.

”When I listen to 80s music it takes me on a mental trip through time back to the late 80s and when I was kid.” In the words of Ikonic.

A rock song from the 80s was the inspiration for Prom Night. He missed his prom night on purpose when he was in high school when he was supposed to be going to the prom.

Instead of hanging out with the cool kids and doing what everyone else did, he decided to roll solo and rock out the night being satisfied with the man he was becoming instead of hanging out with everyone else.

This artist definitely has a bright future ahead of him! Check out his website, and follow him on Spotify! Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

6) BLOODLIN3 – Until I Fall

When it comes to rap, there are a few names that stand out above the rest. Eminem, Kanye West, and Drake—are all artists that have made their mark on the music industry in one way or another.

But what if I told you there was an artist, in fact, 3, that you probably hadn’t heard of yet? A trio who is just as talented as the ones I mentioned above, but hasn’t quite gotten the recognition they deserve?

That trio’s name is BLOODLIN3, and they’re from El Paso, TX./Paducah, KY. They released their single “Until I Fall” on April 15th and it’s making waves ever since.

It is an exciting production featuring the legendary Krizz Kaliko! It is perfect for fans of South & Midwest Hip Hop, as well as worldwide hip-hop fans.
This song is cinematic in scope—it feels like it was written for a movie soundtrack or video game soundtrack. It has strong male vocals that would work well as background music for any kind of dramatic scene involving violence or struggle.

So if you like all of this, you should definitely check out their website, follow them on Spotify, and listen to the playlist that they are featured on our Spotify profile!

7) JUNK – Squakin Like A Bird

It is that time again! JUNK, the band with no genre, is back in the ring to put a stop to internet gossip hordes! If you like funk, groove, and jazz, you’ll love the new single from San Diego-based band JUNK.

In addition to pushing the boundaries of music with the use of an actual live bird, this song also addresses the issue of internet experts that spew conspiracy theories and doomsday predictions and think that they are smarter than everyone else due to what they read on the internet.

The song “Squakin Like A Bird” is an infectious combination of hip-hop and pop that takes you on a journey through some of the most interesting cultural references of today.

”We think the world would be a better place if people would stop trying to “enlighten” others on what they “know” from reading internet gossip…” – Says JUNK

It’s a fun track that will make you want to get up and dance—but it also has something to say about the world we live in today. So if you like what you just read, visit their YouTube, follow their Spotify, and listen to and like the playlist that they will be featured!

8) KURST – Noise

Kurst is an independent artist from Toronto, Canada who has been making music for some time now. He is known for his hip-hop and rap music which is unique. His last release, a single called Noise, it’s as edgy as it gets!

‘Noise’ is a song about coping with the inevitable doubt that comes along with chasing your dreams and walking the path of success. The purpose of this song is to keep your focus on your path in life by filtering out all the NOISE that surrounds you.

His sound looks like it’s very much inspired by old hip-hop, but it also has elements of modern hip-hop that make it unique. The beat is euphoric and catchy, it makes me feel like I’m floating on air when I listen to it.

Overall, this track is amazing! If you’re looking for something new then give this song a listen because I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed!

And if you like hip-hop or rap music that goes beyond typical themes like partying or being rich and famous, check out KURST’s new single Noise! Visit his website, and follow his Spotify.

Also, check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

9) CHRIS CAULFIELD – Ugly

Chris Caulfield is a Canadian-based artist who’s been making music for some time now. He recently released his new single, “Ugly,” and it’s a real treat.

I’m really into the way that Chris combines different genres into one song; he does it in a way that feels comfortable and natural but still sounds fresh and unique. And honestly? He’s just an all-around great musician.

It’s hard to pin down what kind of sound you’d call this, but it’s definitely alternative pop with some commercial pop influences—and a little bit of emo and rap. It’s got a strong male vocalist who knows what he’s doing, and the production is very clean and polished.

It’s a little different from his recent releases, but it felt next in line after his other collaboration with Porchlight just a few weeks ago.

If you’re looking for some good new music to listen to this summer, check out Ugly by Chris Caulfield on Spotify, and visit his website! Also listen to our entire playlist, where this artist and many great ones are also featured, you won’t regret it!

10) DICI – Daydream

Here is a new beat from the Italian-born, Miami-raised urban pop sensation, DICI. Prepare yourself for some fresh beats! The singer is set to release his latest single, ‘Day Dream’, under his very own record label, DICI Records, on April 14th, just in time for the summer.

In the same way that his previous melodic hip-hop anthems have grabbed over 2 million Spotify streams across 100 countries, his latest addition to his musical repertoire is also poised to be another chart-topper, following in the footsteps of his previous melodic hip-hop anthems.

The song opens with a catchy beat that’s reminiscent of early 2000s pop hits. The lyrics are incredibly catchy and the chorus will have you singing along in no time. But then there are those verses—they’re unexpectedly amazing, and they add so much energy to the song!

Overall, this is a great track that has a lot going for it: catchy melodies, relatable lyrics, and just enough rap to keep things interesting. It’s definitely one you’ll want to check out!

If you enjoyed this track, check out some more music from DICI on Spotify or visit his website! Also listen to our entire playlist, where this artist and many great ones are also featured, you won’t regret it!
